3. Amelie - saw it twice and loved it both times
2. Joyeux Noel - Complete with Dr. Tate's lecture. Fascinating and lovely.
1. Osama - Probably the most powerful cinematic experience I have ever had.
This doesn't discount the value of Rosenstrasse, The Passenger, Babette's Feast, or Twilight Samurai, nor am I forgetting the wonder of Picnic at Hanging Rock and the crazy French musical about umbrellas. (You remember those, right Miri?) But these are the ones I currently remember best.

OMG, this is brilliant. Some of them are right over my head, but some of them even apply to me too. I am glad The Office and LOST made your TV shows list. I also totally agree with your movies-you-never-wished-you-watched list, though I haven't seen The Lake House or The Notebook. I recommend finishing Les Miserables, and I was glad to see WHICH Edward actually made the #1 spot on literary crushes. I also loved Amelie, and I definitely know Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (sp?)!!! We watched it once in a film class. I even bought the soundtrack, I liked it so much.

Okay, turns out I like the top 5 lists. And thanks for the London and WWI poets stuff. (I found a lovely old copy of Siegfried Sassoon poems at a used bookstore today and almost bought it, but I was already spending too much.) And I still listen to the London playlist all the time.
I just read East of Eden, and I love love love it. I highly recommend it.
if you name your car Wanda then upon approaching said car you can say "To Wanda" and think of being reckless and exciting ala Fried Green Tomatoes.
